The Best Ninja Blenders

We found the best Ninja blenders should be able to blend smoothies in summer, emulsify dressing and puree ice in like your favorite frozen drinks. Some blenders can do the job of grinding a perfect smooth peanut buttering, even cutting the onion of your liking, and even making the soup recipe you desire in a matter of minutes.

Ninja is well-known for producing an entire home cookware suite consisting of blenders, cookers and ovens. For the most part, they have amazing build quality, despite the fact that they are all made of plastic, truly giving off a durable vibe. Many of their crews can be taken apart and placed right into the dishwasher for an effortless wash.

Ninja blenders often have both processing and blending function or have its own small smoothie making jar on top together with the larger main pitcher. Alternatively, the attachment kits can be especially helpful when you need certain tools for your cooking, but you can also find a full-sized Ninja blender, without extras, if your objective is having a multi-function tool that does not come with so many lids and plastic containers.

Best Overall Ninja Blender

Ninja TWISTi Blender DUO

PROSCONS
Timer for keeping track of blending process
Built-in tamper pitcher helps ensure ingredients get blended thoroughly
Smaller pitcher than other full-sized blenders

We were completely satisfied with the Ninja TWISTI Blender Duo. It made a mixed drink that was so creamy and smooth as both margaritas and peanut butter turned very fluffy. One of the features that really caught our attention was the 34-oz. power pitcher, which is equipped with an internal tamping tool and a Blade that fastens at the bottom. With peanuts on top of the mixture after just two minutes of blending we used a tamper to spin it around which resulted in a peanut butter which was smooth and easy to pour for topping your ice cream sundae or for adding into your oatmeal in the morning.

It is equipped with a timer that will show you how the blending goes so that you will be able to repeat the same process in the future. The small size of a main pitcher was different from full-sized Ninja blenders which could also handle the same amount of ingredients as a personal blender.

Best Value Ninja Blender

Ninja BL610 Professional Countertop Blender

PROSCONS
Blended up a great milkshake and soup
Most removable parts are dishwasher-safe
No presets and limited speeds

At just $100, this is a solid size Ninja Professional Countertop Blender with a big 72 ounce container capacity and powerful performance which makes it an affordable option for several users. Nothing sophisticated about it besides being second after the Mega Kitchen System, but it’s built very hard and performs great. It only comes with basic accessories: a bunch of a 72-ounce main jar, blades that will stack, and lid, which has a spout for pouring.

It may not be able to blend anything hot, but it can still make our Ninja blenders, with which it can fast and easily break the ice into a fine snow-like texture perfect for cocktails or for drinks boozed down like a slushie. To make it better, it also enables you to make nice, fine nut butter, which although is not the simplest ingredient, since you have to take off the lid and stir to mix thicker mixtures.

Small units, however, don’t come with personal jars but instead, do a good job of processing small chunks of harsh foods such as kale, hence paving way for a well-mixed single-serve smoothie. Regrettably, for me this container turned out not to be the greatest solution for larger batches. In case, the jar is full with layers of fruit smoothies for a couple of servings, you may have a thick blend.

It’s quieter than a blender one, and its jars, lids, as well blades- are fine while in the dishwasher. As the most recent issue, the sharp blades make it pretty inconvenient to clean the scissors by hand without ripping you or cutting your hand.

Best Personal Ninja Blender

Ninja Foodi Heat-iQ Blender

PROSCONS
More versatility than other personal blenders Smoothies, Ice Crushing, SoupsMay have to purchase more cups if you have a large family

The best blender among the Ninja lineup which we tried is the Ninja Foodi Cold & Hot Blender. In contrast to many Ninja blenders, which consist of additional jars and attachments, it’s a full-size blender with only one jar, best for the people who only look for an original blending product. Well, it’s one of the rare flat screen tv ninja full size blenders which can hot blend, as well, the main jar of this blender even has a heating element which means it can also cook or heat ingredients.

The jar is made of glass that is not prone to scratches or changes in color as would be the case with plastics. There are numerous modes of mixing bar like ‘Saute’ and ‘Smooth Soup’, along with manual ‘Blend’ and ‘Cook’ modes, that is an ideal choice for you if you like to multitask while your blender is operating. In addition to having just one jar, it works most ideally when the fibrous content of recipes such as single dish smoothies and a few batches for stews and sauces have to be processed.

It does not take much effort from it to crush the ice and is not something you would have much difficulty with for dips and nifty things like nut butter.

The two-piece lid and tamper on this Ninja blender, in contrast with most blenders, gives you a better control over your recipe and is ideal for the homemade food enthusiasts. It is also the case that instead of sharpened edges as the stack it has blades which are pretty common and can be cleaned manually. Though, when it comes to its cleaning this is not the easiest blender since the heating element means you can’t immerse it under the water or put it in the dishwasher.

Best Ninja Blender For Smoothies

Ninja Mega Kitchen System Smoothies Blender

PROSCONS
Easy-to-store
All pieces are dishwasher-safe
Cannot be used for blending hot ingredients

The Ninja Mega Kitchen System is our mid-range Ninja blender topper because of its performance. This blender can’t perform hot-blending like the previous blender, but its capabilities are simply stunning for smoothies and frozen drinks. Just like any of the blenders on the market, it features its 72-oz jar for blending the ingredients and main unit, a 64-oz blending cup and blade for making smoothies and a pair of 16-oz personal jars for single serving smoothie cups and blends.

We found that smoothies taste very good in personal jars because you can turn fibrous ingredients like fruit, leafy greens into a smooth texture completely.  The main jar is good for a denser blend which includes ingredients with fibrous consistency but it can still be used to make a great smoothie with ingredients like blueberries or kale. It can also crush numerous ice cubes at the same time.

The food processor bowl comes with both a dough blade and the chopping blade to make it possible to knead dough with the processor or do any food prep jobs such as slice vegetables. Also coupled with its blade design, it is harder to clean by hand as well. The main particle is a very sharp blade’s top, and you have to use it very carefully to avoid cutting yourself.

Best Ninja Blender For Soup

Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System

PROSCONS
Backlit controls for great ease of use
Strong suction cups on the base
Very sharp detachable blade that doesn’t lock into place

Only some of the products listed above are suited for hot pureed soup preparation, and for this purpose Ninja Foodi Power Blender & Processor System scored very high. Soup filled the sieve within seconds; texture was satisfying – velvety and creamy, yet with some garnish. Moreover, we were highly satisfied with the quality of the margarita which had no ice chunks posing the problem of disintegration in delivering the final ice free result, hence the versatility of the appliance which can be used for both hot and cold ingredients.

That offers a fast lock system with an easy assembly base along with a blender jar. As it can easily slip on and off of the handle, the blade is also good for cleaning and cutting, but it is sharp to the touch. The blender controls interface is as simple as it can be, understanding the prompts by the backlit display. Practical features, including the suction cup located at the bottom of the blender base to prevent the appliance from moving during operation even when the hardest ingredients have to be crushed for a soup of smoothie.

Best Ninja Blast Portable Blender

Ninja Blast Portable Blender, Cordless

PROSCONS
Portable, 30-second blend cycle
Practical sip lid, Fits into cup holder
Battery lasts for 15 blend cycles, Base is water-resistant
Short charging cordTakes multiple runs to blend fibrous greens

The best portable Ninja blenders that we’ve analyzed, the Ninja Blast is the best one we’ve used. It is a battery powered ninja blender that makes drinks such as smoothies and shakes for usage while outdoors or where access to an outlet is not present. The weight of the blender and its compact design is advantageous since you can have the entire blending jar closed and secured with the simple push of a button. Therefore, you can drink it as you go for driving or walking around.

It doesn’t make a completely smooth paste with fibrous ingredients like kale, but generally, it does quite a good job of processing those ingredients, so there aren’t big leafy pieces left over in your drink. Moreover, it does not crush the ice well enough to make snow cones but it will blend the ice cubes and if there is more liquid it is easier for the blender to process it.

This blender’s key drawback that it has compared to other portable blenders is that it is hard to clean. Washing blades in the dishwasher is not possible because they are attached to a motor base and cleaning some spots is also the hardest part. While you can use it for a bigger issue if you are dealing with sticky stuff, for smoothies and protein shakes which are more of a liquid consistency, the blender is the perfect appliance.

Best Ninja Hand Blender

Ninja Hand Mixer, Foodi Power Mixer System

PROSCONS
Comes with a 3-cup blending cup
Both a hand blender and hand mixer
Mayo separated after sitting

The Ninja Power Mixer System Foodi is a new invention and, since Ninja does not manufacture any immersion blender aside from this, they claim it to be the best one from Ninja for the same reason. However, it should be pointed out that its big advantage is that we added it on top of the best immersion blenders we had ever tested. It’s very well-built and that’s how it produces a smoother blend with pulpy ingredients than the majority of hand blenders, therefore it is a bonus for fruit smoothies, pureed soups and sauces made from ingredients such as broccoli and kale.

You do not need to add it directly into a pot or pan and then blend it in a jar because the blender comes with a plug that makes it easy for the hot ingredients to blend. It comes already fitted with a 24 oz beaker for milling drinks and shorter amounts of spices or soups. In addition to that, the beaker can also ensure the visual appeal of the beverage items by making the whipped cream or salad dressing using the whip whisk attachment.

Not only is it awesome with its fine blending performance, it is also unique in that it is transformable into a hand mixer for batter preparation. To change the configurations, snap the blender with one finger, and all its components are dishwasher-safe. Nevertheless, the bulky size and shape of the blade guard prevent from mincing some of the ice cubes and bigger sheets of frozen fruit. It’s too heavy for a hand blender, so one can get tired easily of blending a large pot of soup.

Blender TypeHand blender
Dimensions2.75 x 3.03 x 15.94 inches
Jar capacity3 cups
Controls5 mixing and 2 blending speeds
Blade typeImmersion blender blade
AccessoriesImmersion blender arm, hand mixer attachment with beaters and whisk, 3-cup blending cup with lid

Compared To Other Brands

High build quality.

The majority of the Ninja blender models will give you an assuring feeling that they are very sturdy, even though the plastic transmissions. Their design is a phenomenal feature as most of them are dishwasher-friendly, so you only need to put the jar, lid, and blade assembly into the dishwasher.

Generally included along with additional jars and accessories too.

Most of the Ninja blenders are shipped with other attachments that add to its compatibility later on in the kitchen. The attachments may include a dough blade for preparing the dough or a food processor bowl and lid with an opening for adding ingredients one at a time. Also, there is a setting for some with a dedicated function for another attachment.

Fantastic for ice crushing.

Most of the full-size Ninja we’ve tried have been great ice crushers with big pitchers, 72-ounce,which are convenient for big margaritas or slushies batches.

Few speed settings.

You are unable to tweak the Ninja’s speed for most of its blenders simply because they are not equipped with many speed settings.

No hot blending.

Very few Ninja blenders are even capable of hot blending, so grinding hot food into soup is totally out of the question.

Very sharp blades.

Ninja brand produces the majority of their blenders in a large volume and the basic design features very sharp blades which are spiral in form. In addition, it makes them difficult to clean as a cut is likely to happen if you are not cautious while using them. The fact that the design only incorporates these options means you can’t use a tamper (none of Ninja models normally do).

NINJA VS VITAMIX

The Vitamix Company designs a number of full-size “big” blenders that are positioned on the high-end. Typically, the best of the blenders offered by this company are more frequently multi-purpose than the blenders that are on Ninja’s price range, but they are also more expensive. Many Ninja blenders don’t have a hot blend function, don’t come with two-piece lids, and have a limited number of speed settings, making them unsuitable for making soups or blender foods.

Also, many inexperienced home cooks may prefer a blender with more control and settings. In contrast, Ninja blenders cost less than Vitamix and are more prone to come with add-ons that include food processors for easier meal preparation and personal jugs for smoothie making.

NINJA VS NUTRIBULLET

NutriBullet and Ninja manufacture various personalized blenders that can be used to make individual blended drinks like smoothies. The loudest model of NutriBullet blender becomes quieter when compared with the best professional model in the Ninja personal blending family. Then, another distinction of Ninja blenders is similar to other blenders but they have the ability to crush ice without adding liquid while the content sits in the container.

Blade assembly is not normally dishwasher friendly for NutriBullet, and Ninja blenders feature the capability to use both dishwasher safe jars, lids, and blades. If you’re worried about choosing the best brand and compare them deeply, you can find our detailed comparison of Ninja vs. NutriBullet. Ninja makes perfect full size and personal size blenders that blend smooth fruits to give the best smoothies.

Majority of the models come with easy-grab jars, plus a few additional contenders that are smaller so you can take them with you. Among all the features compared, some of them also introduce new attachments such as a dough blade, or a micro-juicer, slightly more advanced than conventional blenders. On the other hand, the built-in motors are quite slow, and they can’t blend. So if you love to make things in the puree or soup styles it is annoying.

Lineup

Ninja brings its blenders to another level and introduces systems with food processors, personal jars, ordinary full-size blenders, and personal blenders into the market. They use some naming conventions, and it can be used to show the type of products as well as features they include.

Foodi: Ninja product line that not only has blenders but also the home cooking gear kit like pots and pans. The majority of foodi machines typically include a separate dough blade, which facilitates use of dough. The brand-only model of an immersion blender which serves the purpose of a hand mixer as well is also part of the collection.

System: These kinds of combination blenders are equipped with processors to break up food, personal sized shakers for smoothies and a full size blender base and pitcher.

Auto-iQ: Finding out that blenders with Ninja’s ‘auto-iQ’ can make multiple programs when you have some standard jars or big ones can make it hard to know which programs you can run automatically. ‘Auto-iQ’ blending programs use different methods since you will be pulsing for some portions and regular mixing for the other parts.

Nutri: Simple, one person-powered blenders.

Duo: Blenders that have various types of jars which are included in their kitchen sets. For most of us it should be a full-size blender with personal jars.

The blender names give you a general view of what kind of blender you are contemplating but other products have been exclusively named, like the Ninja Twisti ( a mini full-size blender) or the Ninja Chef ( a full-size blender that comes with only a single container).

FAQs

How much is the price of a Ninja blender?

Ninja company is more of a  budget-friendly, mid-range blender and Ninja still endeavors to deliver the best possible products. Although their top product is still a budget option compared to the branded versions that are on the market from Vitamix, Blendtec, and Wolf.  These full-size Ninja blenders we have tested cost between roughly $100 and $300 USD.

Are Ninja blenders dishwasher-safe?

Yes, mostly. It will be different for the different models, so you need to check the manual before buying one matching. Yet ninja blenders complete with blades, jars, lids, and accessories are mostly safe to be dishwashers at home, which is a straightforward cleaning task. The fact that the blades in many of the NutriBullet blenders cannot go into the dishwasher creates a distinctive contrast because of the relatively higher dishwasher-safety standard of the jars and lids.

Which is the correct way to clean a Ninja blender?

Similar to other blenders you can run it in the tube with water and soap, in order to quickly clean it and with the help of a sponge or brush remove those leftover residue. The majority of wasted scraps of blades can be taken off from the jar that cannot be dumped like most full-size blenders, be the Vitamix or the Kitchenaid brands.

Though it is usually true that in general full-size Ninja blenders score hardly any points in the cleaning category as they come with very sharp blades and thus, chances of losing a forefinger during cleaning activities are also relatively high.

Can I put ice in the Ninja blender of mine?

The capacity of ice-crushing in most Ninja blenders is usually one of the most really favored features except for the portable and immersion bladers. If you need a blender that grinds ice cubes of large capacity and even freezes the ice to become like snow, a Ninja blender is the right blend for you.

Can I process food in my Ninja blender as I expected to?

Certain recipes, such as the nut butter and the hummus, produce the same results when made either in a blender or a food processor. In this case a chef would use a food processor and chop or slice ingredients like carrots or onions, on the contrary, he would end up mixing everything together because of improper chopping. From the single sized personal addition food processors/blenders to the ninja duo kitchen system, ninja makes a variety of combo food processors/blenders.

One of the main features of the Ninja Mega Kitchen System is the second food processing bowl, although the Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate System has a special blending jar with other attachments, such as additional blades and other accessories, that can be added and then removed. While it seems promising, the power of these jets against the regular food processors is unknown regarding things like chopping, grating, and shredding.

Conclusion

The Ninja blender brand produces full-size and personal  blenders  that are durable and long-lasting. Nearly all the products usually come with an additional jar so that you can take your blends and smoothies with you. As well as being multi-functional there are some that include special attachments and accessories that give you even more power in your food processing. Nevertheless, they are fond of smart speakers instead of speed dials. That’s a kind of Ninja blender you usually can’t use to hot blend, too.
